The Titanic

By Andriana St.
The story of Titanic is well known. The ship hit an iceberg and more than 1,500 people died. This accident might not have happend if the captain hadn't given orders for the ship to go very fast in order to get to New York quickly.
The captains of other ships had told the captain about icebergs in the area, but he didn't listen. If the captain had listened to them, he could have turned the ship in time.
There was also a problem with the life boats. The shipbuilders thought that Titanic couldn't sink, so they didn't put enough life boats on the ship. If there had been enough lifeboats, many more people could have survived.
